Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 900 participated in the Annual Fall Kid's & Kop's Fishing Tournament on October 13, 2007.  The tournament was held at the North Skyway Pier starting at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday morning for approximately 4 hours of fishing.  Six members of Post 900 spent the day assisting children at the bait station and collecting the fish that were caught.  Safety was the theme of the day.  The Pinellas County Sheriff's Marine Unit, Community Policing and Flight Section were also represented at this event that is sponsored by the Missing Children Awareness Foundation, Inc.  The Foundation provides many services to the community concerning child welfare, safety, and security.  There were 117 children registered for the event.  Nine children received trophies and dozens of door prizes were given away.  For more information and photos go to www.post900.com.
