The Pinellas County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Program is an opportunity for young people to learn firsthand about the challenges and rewards of a career in public safety. Explorer Post #900 is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and is highly regarded with national championships in several categories of Law Enforcement Exploring.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Explorers are immersed in many facets of our agency's operations: Patrol, Corrections, Investigations, Forensics, Training and more. Our deputy sheriff's also serve as mentors and instructors, giving Explorers the benefit of their experience in these areas.

In fact, many of our former Explorers are now Pinellas County deputy sheriff's or city police officers. We welcome the youth of our community to join our Explorer Post and participate in what is a truly unique learning experience and a chance to serve the citizens of Pinellas County.
